Responsibilities
- Manage, train and coach a team of employees across two shifts and two locations (Houston and Midland).
- Act as a key leader in this new role to develop, implement, and refine department-wide best practices and operational workflows.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in operating and programming CNC Lathes (Weiler G90 preferred) using conversational controls. As well as manual lathes (ACRA).
- Oversee the customized repair and refurbishment of industrial machinery, focusing on motors, stator tubes, and rotors.
- Establish, measure, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track department efficiency and performance.
- Work closely with the Production Manager and other departments to align priorities, manage staff based on production requirements, and increase overall efficiencies.
- Order necessary tools and consumables required for daily operations to prevent downtime.
- Ensure all work meets strict engineering drawing interpretations (dimensions/tolerances) and complies with corporate and quality system procedures.
