Responsibilities
- Perform visual weld inspections using engineering drawings, weld symbols, and other job criteria
- Verify weld specs including size, continuity, and measurements against job specs
- Checking welds for cracks and other defects based on quality standards
- Quality documentation.
- Communication of any production issues directly with department leads and supervisors
- Incoming, In-Process & Final Inspection
- Verifying dimensional data, fitting, alignment, and overall product quality.
- Use of inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools
- Initiate and support nonconformance reports (NCRs) and containment activities.
- Assist with Material Review Board (MRB) processes by providing inspection findings and supporting documentation
- Verify calibration status of inspection tools and measuring equipment
- Handle internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain organized inspection areas and promote safe work practices
