Responsibilities
- Program Development: Write and optimize CNC programs to create complex parts and components based on engineering specifications. This includes selecting appropriate tools, machines, and materials for each job.
- Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they function efficiently and produce high-quality outputs. This involves testing programs and making necessary adjustments to improve performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and machinists to evaluate project requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that machine setups align with production goals.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet precise specifications and quality standards. This may involve using measuring tools and techniques to verify dimensions.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of machine specifications, programming notes, and production processes. This documentation is crucial for tracking changes and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
