Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead the procurement process for critical materials, components, and services. Under supervision, you will skillfully negotiate pricing and terms of purchase to secure the lowest total cost consistent with high standards for quality and reliable delivery.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key non-strategic suppliers (up to ~$5M spend), focusing on robust engagement and performance management. Act as a primary point of contact for supply chain issues, ensuring a smooth flow of materials.
- Procurement Execution: Efficiently process purchase orders (POs), RFQs (Request for Quotes), and supplier proposals. Expedite urgent orders and proactively manage the timely receipt of all materials to support manufacturing demands.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management (SCM/MPM) teams to forecast needs, maintain optimal inventory levels, and identify/recommend new, high-quality suppliers.
- Process Improvement: Champion best practices within the purchasing lifecycle, leading efforts to resolve material-related accounting and receiving issues, and contributing to overall supply chain efficiency.
