Key Responsibilities:
- Expert Setup & Operation: Perform complete, independent setups and operation of both CNC mills and lathes, ensuring fixtures and programs are dialed in for efficient production runs.
- Tooling & Offset Mastery: Select, load, and manage cutting tools; proactively adjust tool wear and work offsets to maintain strict tolerances as tight as $\pm 0.0005$ inches.
- Production Excellence: Execute consistent machining cycles while performing rigorous in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges.
- Technical Literacy: Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols to ensure every part meets engineering specifications from start to finish.
- 3+ years of experience in a high-precision CNC production shop.
- Proficiency in both milling and lathe operations.
- Ability to work in a standard, non-climate-controlled industrial environment.
- Attention to detail and a "first-time right" quality mindset.

Responsibilities

- Production Machining: Execute consistent production runs across multiple machines, ensuring cycle time targets are met while maintaining strict quality standards for every part.
- Tooling Management: Select, assemble, and load required cutting tools (drills, end mills, inserts) into tool changers or turrets according to setup sheets.
- Offset Adjustments: Monitor part dimensions during the run and manually adjust tool wear and work offsets to maintain tolerances as tight as $\pm 0.0005$ inches.
- Quality Inspection: Use precision measuring tools—such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges—to verify part accuracy and identify tool wear before defects occur.
