Position Details- Pay Rate: $20-$23.00 per hour (Based on Experience). Available Shifts: 2nd Shift: 2pm-1030pm Flexibility: Must be reliable and open to flexible hours or overtime as needed.
The Opportunity You will be responsible for lab preparation and analytical testing to maintain the safety and quality of food products. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to encourage a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing: Perform analytical, microbiological, and organoleptic (color, taste, aroma) tests on finished goods and raw materials.
Production Support: Conduct start-up checks on production lines and monitor quality throughout runs.
Compliance: Follow all applicable $GLP’s$, GMP’s, and SSOP’s.
Sanitation: Conduct ATP testing of environment and food contact equipment.
Equipment: Perform daily calibrations and maintain lab records and documentation.
Safety: Notify management of food safety risks and maintain a clean workspace.
Qualifications & Requirements Education: A.S. or B.S. Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years in a laboratory environment. Industry Preference: Background in Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Medical, or Cleaning Product manufacturing is highly preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Database systems; mathematical and communication skills.
Physical: Ability to stand/walk for full shifts, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Lab Maintenance: Perform daily equipment calibrations, maintain inventory of supplies, and keep detailed laboratory records.
Communication: Notify management of food safety risks and effectively communicate with all departments to support food safety at all times.
