Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Machine Setup: Perform full changeovers and setups on punch press machines according to job specifications.
- Tool & Die Management: Safely load, align, and secure heavy dies into presses.
- Feeding Systems: Configure and synchronize material feeding equipment to ensure smooth, continuous operation.
- First-Piece Inspection: Validate initial parts against blueprints or templates to ensure the setup meets quality standards before handing off to operators.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during the run, making manual adjustments to dies or machine timing as needed.
- Safety & Maintenance: Conduct routine checks on die integrity and ensure all safety guards are properly installed.
- Proven Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience specifically setting up punch presses.
- Die Mastery: Extensive knowledge of tool and die components, including how to handle, install, and troubleshoot them.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy tooling and remain active on the shop floor for the duration of the shift.
- Reliability: A track record of consistent attendance for a Monday–Friday schedule
