Responsibilities
Manage daily and long-term production planning activities to meet customer delivery requirements.
Oversee the Production Control department to ensure accurate scheduling and material readiness.
Translate customer orders and sales forecasts into efficient, capacity-aligned production plans.
Communicate directly with customers regarding demand, delivery dates, and schedule changes.
Coordinate with Sales to resolve customer issues and maintain high service levels.
Ensure production schedules maximize utilization of labor, equipment, and inventory.
Monitor and adjust plans to respond to supply chain issues or shifting demand.
Serve as a mentor to the production control team, providing coaching, direction, and performance feedback.
Lead mid-scale planning and scheduling initiatives and support the Materials Control Manager in cross-departmental projects and long-term strategy.
Represent the Production Control function in cross-functional meetings and planning reviews, reinforcing scheduling alignment and material readiness.
Support the onboarding and development of scheduling staff, identifying skills gaps, and coordinating training to enhance team capability.
