Responsibilities
[!IMPORTANT] Security Requirement: Candidate must currently possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) for access to secure port areas. This is a mandatory requirement for employment.
Essential Job Functions
The FIP Inspector is responsible for the physical handling and preparation of vehicles. Daily tasks include:
- Vehicle Movement: Safely driving imported vehicles into the processing shop and relocating them to designated staging areas post-processing.
- Interior Outfitting: Placing "throw-in" items such as floor mats, owner’s manuals, and accessory kits into vehicles according to specific model requirements.
- Mechanical Finishing: Performing basic technical tasks, including the replacement or installation of lug nuts.
- Identification: Applying necessary labels, stickers, and documentation to the vehicle to ensure accurate tracking and compliance.
- Site Logistics: Driving processed vehicles out of the shop and organizing them in the yard based on delivery priority.
- General Support: Performing other duties as assigned by management to support port operations.
