We are seeking a Yard Driver/Warehouse Lead to serve as the critical link between our logistics yard and the warehouse floor. In this dual-focus role, you will be responsible for the fluid movement of 53-foot trailers and shipping containers using a specialized yard tractor, while seamlessly transitioning into the warehouse to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Please note: Prior experience in both Yard Hostling and Forklift operation is strictly required for consideration. Responsibilities

Yard Management & Driving

• Precision Maneuvering: Operate a specialized yard tractor (yard mule/hostler) to move 53-foot trailers and shipping containers throughout the yard.
  
  
• Strategic Staging: Maintain an organized yard layout to ensure efficient flow and accessibility for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  
  
• Equipment Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard tractors and trailers to ensure safety and mechanical integrity.
  
  
• System Tracking: Utilize Yard Management Systems (YMS) to log trailer movements and track inventory locations accurately.
  
  
• High-Traffic Navigation: Safely navigate equipment through high-traffic zones while adhering to strict yard safety protocols.
  
  

Warehouse & Logistics Operations

• Material Handling: Operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and stack palletized freight.
  
  
• Freight Staging: Use pallet jacks and dollies to organize and stage outbound shipments for delivery.
  
  
• Inventory Management: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to process shipments and maintain digital records of stock movement.
  
  
• Manual Labor: Perform physical tasks including manual lifting, carrying, and positioning of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
