Responsibilities
Electrical & Power Systems
- 480V 3-Phase Systems: Install, troubleshoot, and repair 480V industrial power distribution, including bus plugs, disconnects, and transformers.
- Motor Controls: Diagnose and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor starters, contactors, and relays.
- Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder logic to isolate system failures.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to NFPA 70E guidelines, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Arc Flash safety protocols.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PMs on conveyors, hydraulic presses, pneumatic systems, and HVAC units.
- Mechanical Repair: Replace bearings, gearboxes, drive belts, and shafts; perform precision alignments.
- Fluid Power: Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, and cylinders.
- Welding/Fabrication: Perform basic MIG/TIG welding or light machining for equipment repair as needed.
- LOTO: Maintain 100% compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure zero-energy states during repairs.
- CMMS Reporting: Document all work orders, parts usage, and downtime in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring equipment failures and suggest modifications to improve reliability.
