Key Responsibilities
- Program Development: Create and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Setup & Operation: Lead the setup and operation of Haas 3-axis and 4-axis machining centers.
- Blueprints & GD&T: Interpret complex engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure absolute precision.
- Material Strategy: Select optimal cutting tools, feed rates, and machine speeds for various materials, primarily steel and aluminum.
- Precision Quality: Perform first-article inspections to maintain tight tolerances, often within $\pm 0.0005$ inches.
- Collaboration: Partner with our engineering team to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times.
- Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on CNC programming and machining experience.
- Software: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD is highly preferred).
- Technical Smarts: Deep understanding of machining principles, including speeds/feeds and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. A technical certification or Associate’s degree in Precision Machining is a major plus.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of your shift in a machine shop environment.
