Responsibilities
- Take part in annual audits and help develop procedures and corrective action plans.
- Establish and maintain cleaning standards, including defining cleaning times and proper sanitation sequences for equipment.
- Oversee and manage both Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-out-of-Place (COP) systems.
- Review data and trends to identify issues and implement improvements based on findings.
- Lead the rollout and enforcement of operational standards across the facility.
- Train and guide sanitation and production teams to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to schedules and requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact between plant staff and sanitation chemical suppliers.
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing chemical safety procedures, maintaining MSDS documentation, and providing enhanced training on proper chemical handling.
- Organize and maintain a clean, structured chemical storage and sanitation supply area.
- Ensure all sanitation practices follow the Global Cleaning and Sanitation Manual.
- Develop and carry out cleaning verification and validation processes to confirm sanitation effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement process improvements.
- Supervise and support sanitation staff, including performance management and employee development.
- Plan and manage the department’s operating budget.
