What You’ll Do
- Inventory Integrity: Maintain precise records using inventory software and spreadsheets, ensuring every transaction—receipts, transfers, and shipments—is logged accurately.
- Hands-On Management: Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to identify and resolve discrepancies or shrinkage.
- Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analysis on shortages or overages and implement corrective actions to prevent future variances.
- Material Handling: Safely move barstock, forgings, and other materials using a forktruck.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and updated records.
- Experience: Proven background in inventory control, materials handling, or warehouse operations.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable with inventory management databases and spreadsheets (Excel).
- Certified Mover: Previous forktruck experience is required.
- Soft Skills: organizational abilities, excellent communication, and an eagle eye for detail.
- Mindset: A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Maintain accurate inventory records, locations, and transactions, using inventory management software or spreadsheets. Perform regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies or inventory shrinkage. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and variances, by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to update inventory records, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and adjust inventory levels as needed. Process inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, shipments and adjustments, accurately and timely to ensure inventory records are up to date and reflect actual inventory levels. Other duties as assigned in support of the Materials team. Communicate effectively and work well with others. Safely perform required material movements via Forktruck (Barstock, Forgings, other matierals).
