Job Summary: We are hiring an Assembly Operator to support manufacturing and production operations in Suffolk County. This role involves assembling mechanical and/or electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products based on work instructions, drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
Responsibilities: • Assemble mechanical and/or electronic components, parts, subassemblies, and finished products • Follow written work instructions, assembly drawings, diagrams, bills of materials, and production paperwork • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, and basic measuring devices during assembly • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive bench or production assembly tasks • Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, defects, and proper fit • Identify defective materials, questionable conditions, or process issues and report them to a supervisor • Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, labor tracking, and inspection documentation • Support rework, repair, modification, packaging, labeling, and staging as needed • Handle materials and components properly to prevent damage during production • Keep the work area clean, organized, and aligned with safety and company standards • Work with production, quality, and supervisor teams to meet daily production goals • Follow all company policies, manufacturing procedures, safety rules, and quality standards
