Responsibilities
- Program 2-axis CNC lathe machines using incremental programming methods
- Set up CNC machines, tooling, fixtures, and work offsets for production runs
- Operate CNC lathes safely and efficiently to produce precision machined parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications
- Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed during production
- Perform tool offsets, tool changes, and machine adjustments
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Monitor machine performance and maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
- Maintain production records and complete required documentation
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
