Responsibilities
- Assemble complex aerospace mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
- Read and meticulously follow blueprints, engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform precision fitting, shimming, riveting, and torqueing of parts to exact aerospace specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and torque wrenches) to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- Apply aerospace-grade adhesives, sealants, and lubricants according to chemical safety and engineering guidelines.
- Document production build sheets, quality logs, and traceability records accurately to maintain compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Identify and report any part defects, deviations, or non-conformances to the quality assurance team.
