Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor MPS Intelligent Inserters and Flowmaster inserting equipment with read and print technology.
- Review job tickets, mailing instructions, data requirements, and production schedules to ensure proper job setup and execution.
- Configure inserter jobs including feeders, folders, cameras, barcode readers, print heads, match mail systems, and output sorting requirements.
- Operate and monitor read and print technology, including barcode matching, camera systems, inkjet printing, and integrity controls to ensure mail piece accuracy and compliance.
- Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, and make-readies to maximize uptime and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, feeding, matching, print quality, and insertion issues during production.
- Conduct quality checks throughout production to verify proper collation, insertion accuracy, print legibility, seal quality, and finished mail package integrity.
- Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Accurately document production counts, spoilage, downtime, machine issues, and job notes in production systems.
- Coordinate with data processing, print, bindery, quality, and postal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely job completion.
- Maintain work area cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
- Assist with training less experienced operators or machine assistants as needed.
