Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation programs and SSOPs for the facility
- Lead, train, and supervise sanitation team members across all shifts
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, SQF, HACCP, and GMP requirements
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and deep-clean sanitation activities for production equipment and facility areas
- Conduct sanitation inspections and verify effectiveness through ATP, environmental swabbing, and other validation methods
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Production teams to support food safety initiatives and production schedules
- Investigate sanitation-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Manage sanitation chemicals, equipment, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Maintain accurate sanitation documentation, logs, and audit records
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits and inspections
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and hygiene standards
