About the Role
We are seeking a precise, quality-driven Mechanical Assembler to join our production team in Syosset for 1st Shift. If you have a sharp eye for detail, enjoy working with your hands, and pride yourself on building flawless mechanical components, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will be responsible for putting together complex mechanical assemblies according to blueprints and technical schematics. The ideal candidate doesn't just "put parts together" but understands how those parts function as a whole system.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Assembly: Assemble intricate mechanical components and sub-assemblies accurately and efficiently during the 1st shift.
- Blueprint Reading: Read, interpret, and follow detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet strict company quality standards and tolerances.
- Tool Operation: Safely and skillfully use standard hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshooting: Identify assembly discrepancies or component defects and collaborate with the engineering team to resolve them.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate logs of production builds and quality checks.
- Detail-Oriented Mindset: You notice the little things. Misaligned parts or minor scratches don’t slip past your watch.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on technical role.
- Shift Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality for the daily 1st shift schedule.
- Technical Skills: ability to read schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
- Dexterity & Stamina: Excellent hand-eye coordination and the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
