Responsibilities
- Technical Troubleshooting: Elaborate understanding of automated machinery, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Maintenance Software: Experience using CMMS/work order software to track equipment history.
- Leadership & Team Building: Ability to recruit, train, schedule, and mentor technicians.
- Safety & Compliance: Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and equipment safety standards.
- Budget & Inventory: Skill in managing maintenance budgets and controlling spare parts.
- Project Management: Experience overseeing machinery installations and contractors.
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Engineering or Project Management preferred.
- Maximize Uptime: Oversee daily operations to keep production running and minimize breakdowns.
- Preventative Maintenance: Design and execute scheduled PM programs to extend equipment life.
- Lead the Team: Provide daily direction, assign work orders, and hold staff accountable.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain a safe environment and ensure repairs meet safety guidelines.
- Control Inventory: Optimize spare parts stocking to ensure quick repairs without overspending.
- Track Performance: Monitor key metrics (like repair times) to improve team efficiency.
- Support Upgrades: Partner with plant leadership to plan and install new machinery.
