Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and laws (e.g., OSHA). Stay updated on changing legislation and communicate updates internally.
- Risk & Investigations: Conduct regular risk assessments. Lead comprehensive accident investigations, identify root causes, and manage regulatory reporting.
- Training & Policy: Author and implement safety policies and procedures. Design and deliver impactful safety training and development programs.
- Personnel Management: Oversee safety team recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance/benefits management.
- Bachelor’s in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of safety management experience. Certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication and training skills to effectively influence employee behaviors.

Skills/ Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. Occupational Health and Safety, or related field. Certifications in HR and Safety are a plus
- Previous work experience (3-5 years) on human resources and safety management is essential, with a strong understanding of HR and safety regulations and practices
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for training employees and collaborating with various departments to promote safety
- Ensure the organization complies with all relevant HR and safety regulations and laws. This requires staying updated on new regulations and effectively communicating changes within the organization
- Foster a culture of safety. The HR Safety Manager must work to change perceptions and behaviors regarding safety
