What You Bring (Must-Haves)
- 3–5+ years as a Commercial Superintendent (TI, retail, medical, or office renovations).
- Master-level ability to read blueprints and MEP submittals.
- excellent, collaborative leadership style—you know how to motivate trades without creating friction.
- Stellar daily documentation habits and a safety-first mindset.
- Deep roots and existing subcontractor relationships in Jax.
- Active OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Proficiency with modern construction software (Procore/Bluebeam).

Responsibilities
- On-Site Management: Provide daily full-time on-site supervision and direction for all construction activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Schedule, coordinate, and manage subcontractors and vendors to optimize efficiency, maintain high quality, and avoid project delays.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety programming, and local building codes. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site.
- Scheduling: Develop, manage, and execute short- and long-term project schedules. Proactively identify and resolve potential scheduling bottlenecks.
- Quality Control: Conduct continuous inspections of work-in-progress to ensure strict compliance with architectural drawings, specifications, and LAY Construction's high quality standards.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open, honest communication with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and clients. Lead on-site project meetings and quickly address tenant or owner concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, progress photos, material deliveries, and safety reports. Manage inspections and push for timely closeouts and certificate of occupancy approvals under tight deadlines.
- Value Engineering: Work collaboratively with the pre-construction team to help identify on-site cost savings and structural efficiencies without compromising design integrity.
