What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) As a production welder, you won’t just be laying down welds; you’ll be a critical part of our manufacturing precision assembly. Your day-to-day will look like:
- Fabricate & Weld: Perform high-quality MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on various metals.
- Blueprint Blueprinting: Read and interpret blueprint schematics, welding symbols, and technical drawings to assemble parts accurately.
- Setup & Prep: Clamp, component-fit, and tack-weld parts together. Adjust welding machine settings (voltage, amperage, gas flow) based on material thickness and type.
- Quality Control: Inspect your own welds for defects (cracks, porosity, burn-through) ensuring they meet AWS standards and company quality metrics.
- Safety First: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and strictly adhere to all PPE and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional MIG and TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
- Technical Skills: strong ability to read blueprints and weld symbols. Experience using fabrication tools (grinders, torch cutters, bandsaws, calipers).
- Certifications: AWS certification is a major plus, but we will also conduct an in-house weld test.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work comfortably in a production shop environment.
- Mindset: A team player with sharp attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
