Responsibilities

Position Summary

As a General Laborer in our Harvest Operations, you will play a crucial role during our peak seed intake and processing season. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently unloading, moving, and processing incoming grass and agricultural seed. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, a work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist in dumping and transferring raw seed from delivery trucks and wagons into receiving pits, hoppers, and storage silos.
• Move bags, pallets, and bulk containers of seed throughout the facility using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. (Forklift training/certification may be provided).
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by sweeping, clearing dust, and removing discarded packaging or organic debris to comply with safety and fire hazard standards.
• Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and PPE requirements (e.g., safety glasses, dust masks, steel-toed boots).

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
• This role takes place in an agricultural manufacturing environment. You will be exposed to varying temperatures, loud noises, and significant airborne dust/seed particles

The essential functions of this role include:
