- Logistics Acumen: Deep understanding of freight tariffs, LTL routing, international customs documentation, and supply chain KPIs (e.g., On-Time Delivery, Pick Accuracy).
- Leadership Style: A metrics-driven leader with excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to communicate effectively between shop-floor workers and executive management.

Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, train, and schedule daily activities for a team of shipping/receiving clerks, material handlers, and box truck drivers; foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Production Inventory Control: Manage raw material replenishment lines to ensure manufacturing work centers never experience downtime due to part shortages; oversee cycle counting and annual physical inventory audits.
- Carrier & Freight Management: Negotiate rates, audit invoices, and manage relationships with LTL, parcel, and international freight forwarders; optimize shipping routes to reduce corporate logistics spend.
- ERP/WMS System Ownership: Supervise all transactional data entry within the company’s ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) to ensure real-time accuracy of stock levels, bills of lading (BOLs), and inventory tracking.
- Regulatory & Export Compliance: Ensure all domestic and international shipments comply with DOT, OSHA, FDA, or ITAR regulations (as applicable), including the proper documentation of customs declarations and commercial invoices.
