Responsibilities
- Die Fabrication & Assembly: Prepare, bend, notch, and fit steel cutting, creasing, and perforating rules into laser-cut die boards according to exact CAD engineering specifications.
- Blueprint & Layout Interpretation: Read, analyze, and interpret complex technical drawings, CAD layouts, and spec sheets to plan the optimal assembly process for each custom tool.
- Ejection Rubbering: Select and accurately cut appropriate ejection rubbers, foams, or plastics, and securely apply them to the die boards to ensure clean material ejection during production runs.
- Quality Inspection: Conduct rigorous in-process and final dimensional quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, spec gauges) to ensure dies meet strict tolerance thresholds.
- Tooling Modification & Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and re-rule or repair damaged or worn customer dies to restore them to original production standards.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate automated or manual rule processing machinery (benders, cutters, notchers, and lifters) alongside standard hand tools.
- Collaboration & Safety: Work closely with the CAD design and laser-cutting teams to optimize manufacturing workflows and strictly maintain a clean, zero-incident, OSHA-compliant workspace.
