Responsibilities
- Generate Toolpaths: Utilize Mastercam to create and optimize 2D/3D CNC programs based on part geometry and material specifications.
- File Management: Maintain a highly organized, standardized digital archive of all Mastercam files, G-code, and setup sheets.
- Program Revision Control: Track and update existing programs to incorporate engineering changes, ensuring outdated versions are properly archived.
- Virtual Verification: Use Mastercam simulation tools to verify toolpaths and prevent potential collisions or errors before files are sent to production.
- Blueprint Analysis: Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine the most logical sequence of manufacturing operations.
- Operational Routing: Develop detailed routing steps for parts, defining how a job moves from raw material to finishing.
- Cycle Time Estimation: Calculate estimated programming and machining run times to assist with production scheduling and quoting.
- Material & Tooling Alignment: Ensure that required tooling data and material specifications match the programming parameters before jobs are released to production.
- Spreadsheet Maintenance: Build, update, and manage Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to track project statuses, KPIs, and tooling inventories.
- Data Entry & Accuracy: Input technical manufacturing data into internal systems with a high degree of accuracy to maintain data integrity.
