Responsibilities
- Product Inspections: Perform comprehensive first-piece, in-process, and final pre-ship visual and structural inspections on raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
- Precision Metrology: Skillfully utilize a variety of precision measurement tools—including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, and go/no-go gauges—to check part dimensions against target specs.
- Blueprint & SOP Audits: Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to cross-reference dimensions and routing instructions.
- Defect Documentation: Accurately log inspection results, track production counts, and complete non-conformance or material rejection reports when parts fail to meet specifications.
- Line Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with machine operators, assemblers, and production supervisors to identify the root causes of errors and prevent defects from repeating on the line.
