Responsibilities
- Equipment Setup & Operation: Configure, calibrate, and run a variety of machine shop equipment to execute intricate cuts and boring operations.
- Technical Interpretation: Analyze complex mechanical drawings and engineering prints to plan your machining steps and sequence of operations.
- In-Process Inspections: Conduct rigorous quality checks on your own work using high-precision devices to guarantee zero-defect production.
- Machine Optimization: Determine the ideal tooling setups, rotational speeds, and feed rates based on the unique properties of the material being cut.
- Code Adjustment (CNC): Upload, review, and modify G-code inputs at the control panel, running test pieces to confirm program accuracy before starting production runs.
- Workspace Stewardship: Perform basic daily maintenance on your station, such as managing fluid levels and clearing debris—while strictly maintaining an accident-free work environment.
