Responsibilities
Performs a variety of basic engineering tasks to establish processes and parameters on injection
molding machines that will ensure the proper functioning of equipment and productivity of products
produced. Must also be committed to the highest level of quality in everything that is done. Will also
be responsible for assisting production with root cause analysis and assuring that all documentation
is correct and in the proper place.
- Performs a variety of basic and advanced engineering tasks. Measurements and Quality control essentials
- Must be capable and effective using measuring devices such as: Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, Optical Comparator, Microscopes, Dial gauges, Bore Gauges, Pyrometers, Infrared camera.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review ofidentifiable factors.
- Visually inspect injection molding machine, including chillers, thermolators, dryers, and granulators to assess working conditions and operational conditions – Snags for maintenance as necessary.
- Identifies parts rejection process with proper tools and schematics dimensions, blueprint, GD&T
- Responds to warning signals or intervention by plan personnel to evaluate and correct problems
- with injection molding machines.
- Initializes some repairs and adjustments to injection mold machine or contacts Maintenance Department with assessment of problem.
