Electronics Technician
Department: Engineering / Production / Test
Reports To: Engineering Manager / Production Supervisor
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

What You Will Do
- Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues down to the component or board level.
- Test with Precision: Perform functional testing using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Build & Rework: Execute high-quality soldering, de-soldering, wiring, and cable assembly.
- Collaborate: Interpret schematics and blueprints to support new product introductions and prototype builds.
- Document: Keep clean, accurate records of test results, failures, and structural modifications.
- High school diploma required; technical school or associate degree in electronics is highly preferred.
- Experience in electronics assembly, testing, and component-level troubleshooting.
- Comfort reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical data sheets.
- Experience using electronic test equipment and a solid grasp of ESD safety protocols.

Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect electronic assemblies, circuit boards, cables, and related systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, technical drawings, and bills of materials.
- Perform functional testing and diagnostic evaluation using standard electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other bench instruments.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues to identify root causes and perform corrective action.
- Support prototype builds, engineering change implementation, and new product introduction activities.
- Perform soldering, de-soldering, wiring, cable assembly, and component replacement as needed.
- Verify product performance and compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and engineering specifications.
- Document test results, failures, repairs, and deviations accurately and completely.
- Communicate technical issues, recurring defects, and process concerns to engineering, quality, and production leadership.
- Assist in developing or improving test procedures, work instructions, and troubleshooting methods.
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive electronic components, including adherence to ESD procedures.
- Maintain workstations, tools, and test equipment in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
- Follow all company quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements.
- Perform additional technical or production-related duties as assigned.
