Airgas is seeking a professional, safety-minded Bulk Tanker Driver for a permanent, full-time opportunity based out of our La Porte, TX facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the local transportation and delivery of specialized products, specifically focusing on the handling of Anhydrous Ammonia and Ammonium Hydroxide. This position is ideal for a dedicated driver who values a predictable Monday-through-Friday schedule, local routing, and the stability of working with an industry leader. 



salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to local customers on scheduled or intermittent routes.
• Handle the loading, unloading, and safe transport of hazardous cargo (Anhydrous Ammonia / Ammonium Hydroxide).
  
  
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  
  
• Maintain accurate load manifests and delivery documentation.
  
  
• Provide professional customer service and resolve inquiries on-site.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Age: Must be at least 25 years old.
  
  
• License: Class A CDL with Tanker & Hazmat endorsements required before hire date.
  
  
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of CMV experience within the last 4 years (Graduation from an accredited truck driving school counts as 1 year of experience).
  
  
• Driving Record (Past 3 Years):
  
  
  • Zero preventable accidents.
    
    
  • Maximum of 2 minor tickets (No serious violations like 15+ mph speeding or reckless driving).
    
    
  • No CDL suspensions (except for failure to pay child support).
    
    
• Background: No DUI within the past 7 years.
  
  
• Physical: Ability to lift 60+ lbs, handle frequent bending, and drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours. Must meet all regulatory physical standards.
  
  
• Skills: Basic computer experience (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to read/comprehend MSDS.
