Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, GMP, HACCP, and internal food safety and quality standards
- Conduct in-process and finished product inspections across multiple production lines
- Verify product specifications including weight, appearance, texture, packaging, labeling, and coding accuracy
- Monitor CCPs, preventive controls, allergen programs, and sanitation verification activities
- Review batch records, inspection reports, and release documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Lead investigations into quality deviations, non-conforming materials, and customer complaints
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify effectiveness
- Oversee foreign material control programs including metal detection/X-ray systems
- Supervise, coach, and develop Quality Technicians and Inspectors on shift
- Provide training on GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, and quality procedures
- Ensure adequate quality staffing and coverage across production lines
- Partner with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Warehouse teams on daily operations
- Support line startups, changeovers, and line clearance verification
- Assist with root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production quality issues
- Maintain accurate quality records, traceability documentation, and shift reports
- Track key quality KPIs including defects, yield, holds, complaints, and audit results
