Responsibilities

Responsibilities

· Transport Goods: Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, to deliver products to designated locations.

· Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.

· Route Planning: Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing downtime.

· Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.

· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of trips, including driver logs, mileage, and delivery receipts, in compliance with federal regulations.

· Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any concerns or delays.

· Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including hours-of-service requirements, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

· During slow periods for delivery, the driver will support operations on plant floor.



The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

working up to 6 hrs of overtime per week
