Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Swiss-type CNC sliding head lathes.
- Produce precision-machined components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Load raw materials, change tooling, and perform machine offsets.
- Monitor production to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Identify and resolve minor machining issues to minimise downtime.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and carry out routine preventative maintenance.
- Complete production documentation accurately and follow all quality procedures.
- Work closely with the production and quality teams to achieve daily production targets.
- Previous experience operating Swiss-type CNC machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, Hanwha, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and shadowgraphs.
- Good understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing precision components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in medical, aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering manufacturing is advantageous.
- Experience setting CNC Swiss machines.
- Basic CNC program editing and offset adjustments.
- Knowledge of Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines for precision production.

- Install tooling, load bar stock, and set tool/work offsets.
- Load, verify, and adjust CNC programs as needed.
- Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Monitor machine performance, tool wear, and coolant levels during production.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make offset adjustments to maintain tolerances.
- Replace worn cutting tools and perform routine machine maintenance.
- Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
