Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate and program CMM equipment to inspect complex aerospace components (e.g., turbine parts, structural components, precision machined parts).
- Develop, validate, and optimize CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS.
- Interpret aerospace engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) in compliance with AS9102 requirements.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure adherence to tight tolerances and specifications.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation for full traceability.
- Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
- Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment in accordance with internal procedures and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.
- Participate in internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience operating CMM equipment in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of GD&T and ability to apply it to complex aerospace parts.
- Experience interpreting detailed aerospace drawings and CAD data.
