Responsibilities
Your Daily Responsibilities
- Keep the Spindles Singing: Load raw block or extrusions into vises, tombstone fixtures, and vacuum tables, keeping our mills feeding on material.
- Stay in the Green: Keep your eye on key dimensions, making minor tool wear adjustments so parts stay crisp from the start of the shift to the end.
- Tool Swaps & Care: Change out dull end mills, drills, and inserts quickly to keep machine downtime to a strict minimum.
- Catch the Glitches: Listen to the cut. If something sounds off, chitters, or looks out of place, you speak up and catch it before it costs time or material.
- Clean & Prep: Keep your workstation deburred, blown off, organized, and prepped for the next run.
- Mill Mindset: 1+ years operating CNC Vertical or Horizontal Mills (VMC/HMC).
- Machine Familiarity: You can navigate basic screens on Haas, Fanuc, or similar controllers without breaking a sweat.
- Sharp Eye: You pay attention to the little things—like chips building up in pockets or coolants running low.
- Great Attitude: You bring good energy to the floor and work well with the lead machinists.
