Maintenance Technician

- Shift: Mon–Fri, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Second Shift)
- Compensation: $25.00–$35.00/hour
- Type: Full-Time (Requires flexibility for overtime and off-hour call-ins)
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance: Perform high-quality repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) using manufacturer manuals, engineering schematics, and plumbing/electrical codes.
- Inspection & Monitoring: Conduct product inspection, machine monitoring, and tool inventory checks at shift start/end to ensure optimal working order.
- Safety & Quality: Prioritize safety to achieve zero incidents. Adhere to GMP, Food Safety standards, and QMS protocols (including closing out work orders).
- Data Management: Use CMMS software to track work, time, repair codes, and log component usage for contract maintenance/renewal tracking.
- Teamwork & 6S: Maintain shift-to-shift communication. Clean oil, grease, and debris post-repair, adhering to the Shop 6S program.
- Complete work orders within estimated times (rolling 90-day average).
- Zero repeat GMP/Food Safety violations and zero accidental machinery damage.
- Strict adherence to the attendance policy.
- Required: Blueprint reading (interpreting blueprints/schematics); practical plumbing and electrical systems knowledge; equipment inspecting experience.
- Tech & Math: High detail orientation for CMMS inputs; basic math skills using tape measures/micrometers.
- Tools: Must provide own personal hand tools and toolbox.
- Preferred: Industrial production maintenance experience, safety training, and continuous improvement background.
- Stand for a full shift and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Available for off-hour call-ins during major breakdowns.
- Willingness to travel (local/overnight) and complete hazardous waste handling training.

Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform high-quality repairs and Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on industrial production machinery using manufacturer manuals, PM task sheets, and local/regional electrical and plumbing codes.
- Operational Readiness: Inspect all personal and company-provided tools at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure inventory accountability and optimal working condition.
- Safety & Quality Compliance: Prioritize machine and personal safety, aiming for zero safety incidents. Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety standards, and Quality Management System (QMS) protocols, including securing all required signatures to close out work orders.
- Data & Inventory Management: Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to accurately track work orders, time, and repair codes. Promptly notify the Maintenance Leader when parts are consumed—especially critical, long-lead components.
- Teamwork & Communication: Maintain open communication lines across shifts with fellow maintenance team members and production associates. Clean grease, oil, glue, and debris from equipment post-repair, and actively adhere to the Maintenance Shop 6S and inventory control programs.
- Continuous Improvement: Generate innovative ideas and embrace special projects to optimize business operations, improve machine health, and minimize temporary "containment" repairs.
