- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience operating press brakes or sheet metal fabrication equipment preferred.
- Math Proficiency: strong shop math skills, including:
- Working with fractions, decimals, and whole numbers (and conversions between them).
- Reading standard (U.S.) and metric measurements (reading a tape measure to 1/16′′ or finer).
- Calculating bend locations, layouts, angles, and basic geometry from blueprints.

- Mechanical Aptitude: strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material handling.
- Key Traits: High attention to detail, strong work ethic, independent problem-solver, and a team player.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform frequent bending and reaching, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery noise and sheet metal.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe footwear).

Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Setup: Set up and operate manual press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and detailed job specifications.
- Quality & Inspection: Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, squares, and angle finders to ensure compliance and tight tolerances.
- Precision Adjustments: Perform necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain consistent quality and accurate bends.
- Efficiency & Safety: Meet production schedules with minimal material waste while adhering strictly to all workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
- Maintenance: Keep a clean, organized work area and promptly report any equipment or tooling issues to supervision.
