Responsibilities
Field Execution & Crew Leadership
- Direct, mentor, and work alongside a crew of 4 to 10+ Journeymen and Apprentices on daily installation tasks.
- Oversee site rough-in, conduit bending (EMT/Rigid), cable pulling, main switchgear positioning, and device trim-out according to electrical prints.
- Plan daily work assignments to maximize crew labor efficiency and keep materials moving to active installation areas.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and basic Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Enforce fundamental OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and PPE compliance on site.
- Inspect completed work prior to municipal inspections to minimize rework and quality punch-list items.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager / Senior Superintendent on 1-to-2-week lookahead material needs to avoid field downtime.
- Interface with on-site trade leads (framing, mechanical, plumbing) to ensure clear pathways for electrical runs.
- Communicate job progress, material shortages, or print clashes directly to off-site management.
