Responsibilities
Material Handling & Warehouse Operations
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks) to transport raw materials and finished goods.
- Load and unload freight trucks efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement.
- Supply production lines or designated departments with necessary materials in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-shift safety inspections on all material handling equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Report any damaged goods, shortages, or shipment discrepancies immediately to management.
- Store and stage incoming stock in correct warehouse locations according to inventory guidelines.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to ensure system accuracy.
- Utilize barcode/RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track real-time inventory movements.
- Pick, pack, wrap, and label customer orders accurately according to shipping orders or manifests.
- Prepare shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and couriers for scheduled pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure all outbound shipments meet packaging quality standards and custom shipping requirements.
