Role Overview We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead plant and office maintenance operations. In this role, you will maximize equipment uptime, direct a team of technicians, manage vendor relationships and department budgets, and serve as the Facility Sanitation Supervisor. (Position open due to relocation).

- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate 6–8 maintenance technicians. Handle scheduling, reviews, and development.
- Maintenance & CapEx: Oversee Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, manage department budget, and assist on capital expenditure/safety projects.
- Vendor & Equipment Management: Direct outside contractors, evaluate equipment upgrades, and align priorities with Production Managers.
- Sanitation Oversight: Act as Facility Sanitation Supervisor to enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and handle facility inspections.
- Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance/training (or Bachelor’s degree equivalent) with proven supervisory experience.
- Technical Skills: strong MS Office skills. Machining/electrical background preferred; familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or packaging equipment (fillers, labelers, mixers) is a plus.
- Abilities: strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a plant environment.

Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of 6–8 maintenance employees. Handle performance reviews, compensation recommendations, and disciplinary actions.
- Demonstrated background in management or supervisory roles.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget. Create, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
- Serve as a key contributor on capital expenditure/infrastructure projects and the Safety Committee.
- Direct outside contractors and vendors to ensure quality work, cost control, timely delivery, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee PM programs and use daily/weekly planning processes to document activities.
- Equipment Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with processing and packaging equipment (e.g., steam kettles, blenders, mixers, tablet presses, fillers, cappers, cartoners, labelers).
- Trades & Software: strong computer skills (MS Office). Machining and electrical skills preferred; familiarity with PLCs and SCADA is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal laws/regulations regarding facility maintenance and sanitation.
