Responsibilities
Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and complete rebuilds on all plant equipment—including high-speed envelope production and ancillary machinery—while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role utilizes advanced mechanical expertise to diagnose complex issues, execute equipment rebuilds, and ensure the continuous, efficient operation of manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Equipment Diagnostics & Repair: Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals to install, maintain, and repair plant machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to assist production personnel during shift runs.
- Machining & Fabrication: Operate machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, welding, and cutting tools to fabricate or modify parts.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Monitor, schedule, and document PM activities to ensure long-term machinery reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Parts & Inventory Management: Research, source, and requisition replacement parts, tools, and maintenance materials as needed.
- Safety & Compliance: Conduct required facility and equipment safety inspections. Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and internal safety procedures.
