Responsibilities
- Advanced Welding: Execute top-tier MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on a variety of aluminum sheet, plate, extruded, and machined components.
- Precision Setup: Configure welding machines, shielding gases, amperage, wire feed rates, and torch parameters suited to specific aluminum alloys and material thicknesses.
- Joint Prep & Fit-Up: Clean, degrease, prep, and align joints carefully to prevent contamination and ensure proper fitment before striking an arc.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read technical drawings, complex fabrication prints, AWS weld symbols, and GD&T requirements to build accurate assemblies.
- Full-Cycle Fabrication: Perform grinding, blending, cutting, and finishing operations to achieve specified dimensional tolerances and surface profiles.
- Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: Visually inspect finished work for defects (such as porosity, incomplete fusion, or cracking) and resolve root-cause issues independently.
- Operational Efficiency: Hit production milestones without compromising on safety guidelines, dimensional precision, or craft standards.
