Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive supervisory or management experience within a heavy manufacturing, automotive, or high-volume production environment.
- Shift Flexibility: A proven track record of, and distinct preference for, working 2nd or 3rd shift schedules.
- Technical Acumen: strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and production planning.
- Methodology: Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 standards is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional leadership and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to facilitate seamless shift handovers with 1st-shift counterparts.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Leadership: Direct and manage all daily operations for the designated off-shift, overseeing teams of 15 to 50+ machine operators, assemblers, and material handlers.
- Production & KPIs: Drive shift performance to meet or exceed daily production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets (OEE).
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations, plant safety protocols, and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures to maintain a zero-incident culture.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis) to eliminate waste, reduce scrap, and optimize workflow.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact during off-hours, coordinating with maintenance, quality control, and warehouse teams to resolve bottlenecks immediately.
- Team Development: Conduct performance evaluations, manage attendance/payroll systems, and actively cross-train employees to build a robust and versatile workforce.
