Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s Degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electroplating and inspection activities, including hands-on experience with receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency with inspection tools and non-contact measurement instruments, including Eddy Current testing.
- Quality Knowledge: Clear understanding of First Article, Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection procedures alongside familiarity with the AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Computer Skills: strong computer proficiency for data entry, documentation, reporting, and tracking inspection results.

- Work Environment: A manufacturing setting with moderate noise levels, occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particulates, infrequent extreme temperatures, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Responsibilities
- Visual & Physical Inspection: Perform visual inspections of parts featuring various plated and painted finishes.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and painting specifications.
- Coating & Lot Testing: Conduct coating thickness testing using Eddy Current equipment, alongside required lot testing such as adhesion, chemical, and destructive tests.
- Sample Preparation: Prepare test samples for inspection and testing procedures.
- Specification Comparison: Compare inspection and test results against established engineering specifications.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials, ensuring proper disposition and routing for rework.
- Documentation & Systems: Complete and maintain accurate inspection records utilizing computer systems for data entry and reporting.
