Responsibilities
The Case Stacker is responsible for manually or mechanically stacking, palletizing, and organizing finished goods coming off the production line. This role ensures products are stacked safely, securely, and according to specific customer or quality patterns before being wrapped and staged for shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Palletizing & Stacking: Manually remove finished cases, boxes, or containers from conveyors and stack them onto pallets following specific tie-and-high patterns.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming cases for proper labeling, correct sealing, and damage before stacking; report defective packaging to line leads.
- Equipment Operation: Operate manual or powered pallet jacks, stretch-wrappers, and automatic palletizers safely and efficiently.
- Staging & Inventory: Label completed pallets accurately and move them to designated staging areas or stretch-wrap stations.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep the stacking area clean, organized, and free of debris to maintain a safe production floor (5S standards).
- Safety Compliance: Follow all OSHA regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and ergonomic lifting guidelines.
