Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, packaging, processing, and utility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot pumps, motors, conveyors, valves, heat exchangers, mixers, fillers, sterilization/aseptic processing equipment, and packaging machinery.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance calls.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document work accurately.
- Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes to prevent recurring problems.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects.
- Perform welding, fabrication, machining, and other mechanical repairs as needed.
- Maintain facility equipment, including compressed air, water, refrigeration, boilers, and other utility systems, as applicable.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, confined-space, and other applicable safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to supervisors.
- Support food safety and quality programs and ensure maintenance activities do not compromise product integrity.
