We are working with a major, fast-paced PET container manufacturing plant in the Atlanta metro area to find a master-level Senior Maintenance Mechanic with 10+ years of experience to serve as the resident equipment expert on their Sidel production lines.

- Serving as the primary expert for all mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting on Sidel SBO Series 1 rotary blow molding machinery.
- Overhauling and fine-tuning preform infeeds, oven heating profiles, mandrel drives, blow wheels, and mold changeovers.
- Maintaining high-pressure pneumatic systems (7–40 bar), 40-bar blow valves, and air recovery circuits.
- Supporting vital plant utilities, including high-pressure air compressors (Belliss & Morcom / Atelier François) and process chillers.
- Performing basic PLC diagnostics (Siemens S5/S7) and reading schematics to rapidly resolve line stoppages.
- 10+ years of direct mechanical maintenance experience in PET bottle manufacturing or packaging operations.
- Deep, hands-on mastery of Sidel SBO Series 1 rotary stretch blow molders (OEM Field Service Engineer background is heavily preferred!).
- Advanced experience with high-pressure air systems (up to 40 bar / 600 PSI) and rotary wheel mechanical timing/adjustments.
- Strong schematic-reading abilities and legacy controls troubleshooting skills.
- A true shop-floor mechanic who takes pride in solving tough technical problems hands-on.

Equipment Maintenance & Technical Execution
- Sidel Series 1 Operations: Lead all mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul efforts on Sidel SBO Series 1 rotary stretch blow molding equipment.
- Core Subsystem Repairs: Service and adjust preform infeed systems, mandrel chain drives, oven heating modules, blow wheels, stretch rods, and mold lock-up mechanisms.
- High-Pressure Air Systems: Maintain and repair high-pressure pneumatic systems (7–40 bar), including 40-bar blow air valves, manifolds, and blow air recovery circuits.
- Tooling & Mold Setups: Perform precise mold changes, neck finish tooling swaps, stretch rod alignments, and nozzle height adjustments.
- Auxiliary Utilities: Maintain plant supporting utilities, including high-pressure air compressors (e.g., Belliss & Morcom, Atelier François) and process chillers.
- Legacy Controls Support: Read electrical schematics and perform basic PLC diagnostics, sensor calibrations, and timing adjustments (specifically on Siemens S5/S7 or similar legacy platforms).
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Diagnose root causes of chronic machinery failure to maximize equipment reliability and drive overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety protocols, and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/SQF).
